HOW TO STORE YOUR INDIAN WEAR?

Each type of material should be stored differently:
1. Woollen, cashmere or silk knits; Air tight plastic containers or bags
2. Items with embroidery: Can be wrapped in white mamal fabric or a clothing bag can be used to protect the colour and designs
3. Linen: should be rolled to prevent permanent creases
4. Knitted and silk jersey fabrics, lenghas and saris: stored flat.  If hung from a rack it loses its shape
5. Light: all garments should be stored where there is minimal lighting, as this may cause fading and attraction of insects
6. Tassels may become frayed on the garment: Always trim threads and wrap in paper when storing
7. Rosemary in your cupboard keeps moths away
