THE VEIL

Many religions use the veil as a sign of respect during religious ceremonies.

The Hijab is the veil which covers the head of a Muslim woman.  It is said to separate man from God.  The veil is a mark of virtue and modesty and its symbolism extends through all religions
Similarly, the dupatta is used within the hindu religion for similar purposes but has been used in urban fashion recently.
