HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT COLOURS
Indian Wear is extremely colourful! Sometimes we might get a little confused as to what colours we should choose. Maybe this video might help:

THE VEIL
Many religions use the veil as a sign of respect during religious ceremonies.
The Hijab is the veil which covers the head of a Muslim woman. It is said to separate man from God. The veil is a mark of virtue and modesty and its symbolism extends through all religions
Similarly, the dupatta is used within the hindu religion for similar purposes but has been used in urban fashion recently.
The video below shows just how to tie your hijab
And what about how to wear your dupatta?

HOW TO STORE YOUR INDIAN WEAR?
Each type of material should be stored differently:
1. Woollen, cashmere or silk knits; Air tight plastic containers or bags
2. Items with embroidery: Can be wrapped in white mamal fabric or a clothing bag can be used to protect the colour and designs
3. Linen: should be rolled to prevent permanent creases
4. Knitted and silk jersey fabrics, lenghas and saris: stored flat. If hung from a rack it loses its shape
5. Light: all garments should be stored where there is minimal lighting, as this may cause fading and attraction of insects
6. Tassels may become frayed on the garment: Always trim threads and wrap in paper when storing
7. Rosemary in your cupboard keeps moths away

HOW TO WASH YOUR INDIAN WEAR?
Indian wear has been known for its rich colours and delicate materials.
Not to mention the price. As such, care must be taken when washing and storing the garments.
1. SORT: Do not wash the Indian wear with all your clothing especially if there are gems sewn unto the clothing
2. CHECK YOUR LABEL: some items may need to be hand-washed and others have to be washed inside out
3. HOT WATER: this may make the colours run. So...you can probably use settings with cold water and warm water
4. STAINS: try spot treatments (markers, stain pens and lime) or repeated rinses but do not apply any harsh detergents.
5. NETS; For the lazy ones you can buy a washing net basket put the clothing in it and wash in the machine.
